Bagful of Nuts

Today I am going to share with you a small story, which my Grandmother told me once. At that time I was too young to understand it. The story is about a young Squirrel. It used to work with full sincerity and passion. She was working for a Lion who had promised her bags of nuts in return of the work. The Lion was a sincere and honest. Squirrel used to reach for work in time and used to leave late to accomplish more work.

Squirrel would work even when she was sick.  While other squirrels were playing and having fun, she worked and worked. How much she longed to play with her kids, but again reward of bag full of nuts prevented her to take an off. Finally she completed the task assigned and got her bag full of nuts. But then she realized that she has lost her tooth. Her children have become young and are now no longer living with her.

9 to 5 Slavery or Work from Home

This story used to disturb me as I grew older and saw my father slog. Then I completed my graduation and found my own Lion and realized that squirrel was actually me. I was working for my Bag of nuts. Most of us are like the squirrel. We continue to slog all our life to enjoy that elusive bag full of nuts later.
